the ‘thrills’ of living in an old house…

I like the windows in our house. I love how the sun shines through them on a sunny day. I love that they’re old and the wood is thick.

But the winter is hard as it squeezes through the edges of the windows. You’ve seen the candle test where you hold a lit candle in front of your doors and windows to see if there is any breeze coming through??…yeah, well. I probably couldn’t keep the candle lit long enough to do the test!

So Scott began our window winterization process today…

And we had to laugh… As I was taking these pictures, all the lights went out in the front of the house: Scott had blown a fuse.

Oh the joys of living in an old house…..
