I used to hate canning day as a kid. The house smelled of humidity, steam and green beans. But now I want to learn more and more about it. I love the idea of knowing where your vegetables and fruit come from. We currently have green beans, pears, beets and grape jelly stored away. But I am anxious to can some more…namely, pickles!

So my eye always catches books about canning in the bookstores. I need to add this one to my long list of books awaiting to be ‘checked out’ of my Amazon cart.
